BBC Three, 1,000 more staff heading to Media City

BBC Three will be moving to Media City Salford as the BBC attempts to make 20% budget cuts as a result of the freeze in the license fee.

The BBC's announcements today is the result of the 'Delivering Quality First' consultation, and also includes news that around 1,000 extra staff (including BBC3 staff) will be heading to Salford Quays over the next 10yrs.

The relocation of BBC Three to Media City is to take place by 2016.
